Hey all
I'm new here so i thought i'd introduce myself..
I'm a big honda fan who lives in Aust Melb..
I drive a boosted black Honda civic coupe (EM1 Vti-R).
I've known about honda Beats for a while now and thought
that they would be pretty cool to own and just the other day
I was driving around and saw this red beat which just happened
to be going my way :p (i'm not a stalker! really!!!!)
so i thought i'd find out more about them and found my way here ;p
hope you don't mind that i don't own one but i've just been reading up on them and look interesting to work on :D

well i've said enough for now

possibly :p i live in the east around doncaster area.
saw the car travelling north up station st/tram rd
how does the beat handle vic roads? does it travel okay
or does it have any "lack of torque" problems?
esp in the eastern suburbs where there are plenty of
hills and stuff :p

also, just wondering if tall people look silly in the beat.
as we all know, japanese people aren't known for their
height and stature. I'm not super massively tall (5' 11")
but would i feel uncomfortable driving the beat?

lastly do people use the beat s their daily driver or just
for weekend fun. i'm looking mostly for weekend fun but
how does it hold up in traffic and such...parking must be easy ;p

Hi blkvtir,

Good to see more and more Aussies getting the Beat bug, for the answers to all your questions and more you should pop into my site first have a read up, then contact one of the many Beat owners in Aus for a tour if they would be so gracious.

Cheers

Hey Bikvtir,

It probably was me as my parents live just off Station St in Box Hill Sth. Vicroads is fine with the car so long as you can get a RWC when you purchase it. It has no problems with the hills, particularly tight twisty ones. My girlfriend and I drove to Mt Baw Baw and it was great. I don't think hight for the driver is an issue although I would probably suggest you try one. There is one for sale in the Trading Post at the moment in Mitcham if you are interested. I use mine every day. The only problems I've encounted are lack of space for carrying things and not being seen because you are so small. Aside from this they are a great little car. :)

Regards

Jason

Jason,

Are you still watching out for a Beat for me too in the trading post?

Cheers

You bet. The one in Mitcham is going for about 11K. Are you planning on returning to Melbourne?

Not Melbourne, but I would love to have a Beat up in my home town of Swan Hill, at my folks place to play with....I think Dad would get a kick out of it. 11K, you were mentioning 7K before so anything pops up lets know I'm looking my side too, but can't seem to find them in carpoint or trading post online....

Cheers
