Hi Matt,

I don't think it's possible to successfully fit a different engine into a Beat (tho someone more mechanically minded than me might have more to say on the matter), but you can get quite a few bits and bobs to help you make the most out of what you have, as it were.

As for a playstation - good luck with finding space for that (under the passenger seat is the first thing that springs to mind, tho that's not exactly going to make it easy to get the CDs in) and whatever screen you propose to use with it.

Driving the thing will be all the Play you need anyway, once you get behind the wheel! ;)

I bought pair running shoes came in a shoe box would not go in the boot or in the front by the spare wheel so good luck with the play station.....have the beat as the play station lot more fun..

Or maybe just hang it on the wall in case it get's in the way like we do here in Japan to save space.

What is your electronics work like MJ?

I've seen an X Box stripped down and fitted in component parts spread around the car. The disc tray ejected from the air vent. It wasn't fitted in a beat but the principle is the same.

Engine replacement? Well I was defeted by the 700cc conversion which seemed like the most simple option. It wasn't a straight forward boreout and fit oversized pistons and whilst I don't doubt it's possible at £200 per mistake I gave up having damaged 2 pistons. I think the only other engine that will fit in the space will be one from a VFR but how you would tie that to a gearbox would be the problem to solve.
