A bit of news on a couple more events this year.

Sunday 21 May - CHESHIRE KIT AND CLASSIC CAR SHOW - Capesthorne Hall, Cheshire. We've been there before and it's a nice day out with an amazing range of, predominantly, kit cars, some of which you'll never have seen before! Entrance is free for exhibitors (that's the Beat!) and arrival by 10:00 is appreciated.
I'll post more details when I get them.

Saturday/Sunday 1/2 July - SMARTBEAT '06 - Newark Show Ground . I don't remember this one before, but it looks good. Show is for Smarts, Minis, micros and kit cars and, judging by their use of the Beat cartoon logo on their site and the word Beat in the title, it's for Beats as well! Well, yes, they did invite the UKHBC too! Look on www.smartbeat.co.uk (http://www.smartbeat.co.uk) for details, tickets etc.

Hi All
Just thought I'd add my "official welcome" :D
Although I'm a "smartmaniac" one of our best friends owns a Honda beat.
They are such coolio cars and I'm sure the smart Roadster's designers used the beat for inspiration.

Anyway yes the show is for Smarts, Minis, micros and kit cars and definately Honda Beats too!!!
(the Beat cartoon logo does kinda give it away! lol)

Most of the info is on this downloadable PDF (http://www.smartmaniacs.co.uk/downloads/smartbeatposter.pdf)
As a summary though a "weekender" ticket is £20 and it includes:
free camping, free entertainment, club events, arena displays & Saturdays party night!
Look on www.smartbeat.co.uk (http://www.smartbeat.co.uk) for details, tickets etc
If you come as a group I can reserve a proper club stand for you
(we'll just call 2 of the weekender tickets the club stand booking)

Once you have a club stand then you'll all get club discounts on the go-karting etc. We're trying to raise £5000 for Marie Curie Cancer Care so the more sumo suit wrestlers & slot car racing champions the better.

Hope to see you all there (we've an adult bouncy castle too, so no excuses not to have FUN!)
:bounce:

P.S. If you fancy a drive with Russ Swift (Top Gears stunt driver)
then the first charity auction for "Rides with Russ" starts on May 1st.
It will be held on the Ebay Ticket Shop (http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Hot-Pink) :D

I guess a stand depends on how many people will go, so if those who're interested will confirm attendance by posting, PM ar email, I'll ask Nic to arrange that.
