Hi all,
I have the 120w Gathers sound system, and it has a button for CD. I was hoping to get a cd player to hook up to this. I know the factory unit was a GZC 7200SF from Gathers, but this is really only avail in Japan, plus it is very old school.

I've heard Clarion units work as well, but I'm unsure if any Clarion 6 disc changer would work, or do I need a specific model?
There's also this...http://cgi.ebay.ca/Kenwood-Digital-Ipod-to-CD-Changer-AUX-Input-Adapter_W0QQitemZ270284703526QQcmdZViewItemQQptZOt her_MP3_Player_Accessories?hash=item270284703526&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1215|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A13 18
on ebay. It looks to have the same connector as the factory changer. Would this work with just plug and play?

If I were to get a new Clarion auto changer...

would any of these work?
Thanks all!

Do a Search on here there is alot of information.

Older Clarion players work CDC634 or 628 are a couple of the models numbers that i recall.

Its the type with the single round connector that will contect direct to the Beat head unit.

I think some one tried the direct connect of ipod to beat radio and it did not work, as that cable is using a differant protocol as the old CD changers used.

We have a dc628 mounted vertically behind the driver's seat in one of our Beats. Try this :-http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Clarion-DC628-6-Disc-CD-Changer_W0QQitemZ270341696066QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK _Audio_TV_Electronics_In_Car_Entertainment_GPS_In_ Car_Audio_Players_PP?hash=item270341696066&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2%7C65%3A1%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318

The link worked perfect, thanks! I am now watching it in "myebay". This unit will hook up and function like factory with no mods?

Ours came with a cable which plugged straight into the back of the standard Beat stereo. It is controlled by the buttons on the stereo. Unlike other units I have used it does not recommence playing from the exact point it had reached when switched off but at the beginning of the track. I don't know if this is a feature of the system but it may be a problem if you listen to audiobooks or similar.
