I just picked up a copy, recently published in August. It's all in Japanese of course, but has loads of good pictures of a tear-down, and also some cutaway drawings of parts I had not seen anywhere. In addition to the assembly drawings and wiring diagrams, specs etc. from the service manual. It's small format, around 150 pages, costs 1900 yen over here.

If anyone's interested I could scan a few pages and post them to give the flavor of the book.

I brought one of these books on a recent trip to the Honda factory in Hamamatsu, I purchased it from the internal factory general store. It is really interesting and does show lots of detail. I was hoping to find more Beat items for sale in the factory shop but this was the only Beat item for sale.

Dear Steve,
At last I have been able to go on line! Are you still able to get the HONDA BEAT BOOK from Hamamatsu Japan or even the Honda Collection in Tokyo ? If you can can you tell me how much it would be to my door in either Yen or Stirling. And whilst on your travels if you just happen to trip over a hard top abandonned on the pavement I'll be over on the next flight. Chain yourself to it whilst I arrive!!!

Stan - I'll peer around and PM you. I seem to recall seeing one around recently in a bookshop.
