The U.K.'s Top Ten driving experiences according to a Honda poll are

1. Buttertubs Pass, Yorkshire Dales
2. A686 Penrith to Corbridge
3. A69 Newcastle to Hexham
4. Abergwesyn Pass, Powys
5. A57 Snake Pass near Glossop
6. A1 Western Bypass ( near the Angel of the North )
7. A19 York to Thirsk
8. A342 Devizes to Andover
9. B709 from Langholm to Middleton
10. A435 between Cirencester and Cheltenham

Out of interest anybody been on these

I've managed two No.s 5 and 10

Snake Pass is great as long as you don't get stuck behind something

but will try to fit them in the future if poss

I'd say the road from congleton to buxton is a better trans pennine road than the snake pass. Its got everything, including a wicked hairpin (banked too!)

(thats the a54 by the way!)

took that road to Chatsworth House the other week was good fair doo's:D
