Simple enough to do, just need a bit of welding wire to feed the tension wire through. Took about 2.5 hours. Just don't rush it. Remember it the reverse to taking it off.
Quality not quantity...............
Great news John, see at the Park.....
Hi Guy's,
I'm clearing out the clutter in my garage and have a standard exhaust and both head light units. Sensible offers will secure. Postage of exhaust not possible as all one unit.
Sent you a PM
Rod
I have an original exhaust not being used in excellent condition.
Oh dear, just recently renewed with Flux, got 40% off, better not have a knock then. Didn't fancy a Meercat.
Simples!!!
I have no idea what that means. I seen E45.... a cream for nasty rashes!!!
Have you tried the yellow pages for a local vehicle trimmer, they wont be that expensive.
You may find that the gear ratio is different, or slightly different in gear pressure diameter. The final driven gear and main shaft and gear would need to be exchanged if they fit. Again be careful...
Welcome, and good luck finding a beat. :)
Hi Dave,
I'm getting a seal kit from Japan, if you want I can ask my mate to get two, but it wont be until Easter. It's around £18 quid with the exchange rate.
Failing that take the old seals out...
Thanks for the info Dave. Shall take photo's and notes of the strip out. Will post piccy's when I start. Got to get rid of the mini first.
Did you have any problem area's I should be aware of. Like hard plastic becoming brittle?
The company I have been too said the paint will be £680 but including the prep, strip out and rebuild being labor intensive that's where the cost come in. They also put a provision in for broken bits...
I like your rims Dave. Just had a quote back to respray ToBY £2400......ouch! Need to negotiate with me doing the strip out. If I can get it sorted out, maybe two bling yellow beats at the park.
You never know, it may be a test outlet for the new Beat.........Then again the are a lot of Beat owners in Japan who will pay for this improvement. I'd like one, but not at around a £800.
The way I removed mine was to turn the steering wheel to full lock. Using a long bar on the socket, gently ease the pressure on. It will go. Just dont try bouncing the wrench.
Thanks Steve, sent PM.
Found some stiff racing foam filter stuff. Not so sure if it will have the same effect as using a corrogated filter, the surface area will be reduced.
Can you still get an OEM air filter?
Just took mine out to check the condition of it , and it looks like it been used to filter coffee. It's shot. I have seen some threads using other filters to...
Thanks Paul.
If the cars driveable, I'll will make the effort.
