13years later this is still coming in useful, have to do it to mine soon
Done, gained alot of info from this forum great to see it still running
Yea that's where I'll be ordering from if I can't find a secondhand one in Ireland/UK by tomorrow evening..
They are only €2.30, it's ridiculous that main dealers don't do an option to get a small...
I'm doing the timing bent on my Beats and the idler bolt is damaged from the last time it was done so looking for a good one.. Honda said I could be waiting 2-8weeks for a new one
So...
ECU capacitors are the usual cause for random faults like that. There is alot of information on here about checking/changing them
What kind of price are you thinking on the parts? I will be doing the timing belt on my Beat soon and was thinking of doing the clutch at the same time..
Thats an amazing build!! Have you any videos of it? Performance must be pretty wild, how does it handle with almost 3times the original power
Hey there,
There is quiet a few Beat owners in Ireland just hard to find them. I've two myself and know of 5 more Beats and their owners. I met a yellow one in the road last week too local to me
I'll be doing my two in the new year think I'll be dropping engines anyway to swap gearboxes
That's pretty much on the money I was thinking, would you put that on the ad on Donedeal and see what kinda interest you get with the price listed?
Like you say it would be a shame to break it
What kind of money are you looking for it as it is? It looks really clean but rarity of and cost if getting a replacement engine will put alot of people off I suppose
Hi John
I saw your Beat on Donedeal I sent you a txt I hadn't realised you were on here already. How much would you be looking for the car complete?
I might be interested in some bits, how is...
Hi John
Where abouts in Ireland are you from? I'm in Limerick myself with two Beats. Pity about your engine if you can get it on a pallet try Paisley Freight they are great for couriering car parts...
My Silver one is 94 so later emission laws on it the red one is 91 so would be way easier to pass.
They come with cats standard but the one in it must be f**ked
Not in the UK but Ireland
Had my Silver Version Z on the road most of the time the last two years it needs the catalytic converter replaced to pass the emissions in the National Car Test so not...
I bought my two when I was 28,
30 now and thinking of down sizing to one. Seems to be a wide range of interest in my one from all ages
That RS Mach setup is really nice.. The black TE37s really suit it too, Ive white ones on my Silver Beat
Looks great man were the NR10s staggered beat fitment or same size all round? What kinda money did they sell for?
Nice to see another version z they are great fun with the LSD box
Wow looks crazy with the arches looking forward to seeing how it ends up
Great to see Beats being saved well done
I have Mugen suspension on my beat and find it great, massive reduction in body roll, lowers it enough and not harsh on the road at all
No bolts onto existing points in the chassis and lines up to the fog holes on the bumper
He said $60 USD for them posted. Most of that is postage I'd imagine cause post from Canada seems crazy, I got bits from him a few months ago and seemed double the price from what we pay on our side
Some really nice bits got in there Ive a few bits on the way for mine. I really need to get back out in it more
I know a guy in Canada took a direct copy of my genuine mugen brackets and replicated them in stainless steel, look great and better than original. He would be on for making more I can ask him for...
