Hi.
My beat is no more.
I have a set of 'telephone dial' wheels for sale, they've been refurbished before and need another refurb. Wheel faces are in pretty good shape bar some minor kerbing to...
well done steve,
hope you have one of these!
I read something earlier this year, maybe on a japanese message board, about the beats rotor arm design being changed. Think I found it when my new rotor arm turned up not looking like the one in the...
cheers steve
so the part in the attached pic is just 18198-p36-000.
I better see if the other part is still attached to the underside of my car or not.
Ok, so I'm reinstating the catalytic converter on my beat (I didn't take it out!). I've got a hold of a cat but it is missing the bracket that is bolted on top to connect it to the chassis.
Now,...
I never got my new cambelt fitted in time. I'm now the proud owner of 6 bent exhaust valves, 2 bent inlet valves and a beat in bits in a barnful of christmas turkey's!
Anyone have any thoughts on...
I think section 9 is replaced with a seperate engine manual, check Beardo's site on the "Beat Links Bible" thread:

That's ace. Thanks steve!
Hi,
Does anyone know the part numbers for the the following items: dizzy cap, rotor arm, cam belt, water pump & air filter. I think they're all out of stock in europe, so I need to order them...
I had a 1st to 2nd synchro problem when I first got my beat, it would grind during fast gear change at low engine temp. Got the gearbox oil changed at a honda dealer and it's been perfect ever since....
Looks good. I'll have a look for my tonneau at the weekend - if I can find it, I'll sort out a pattern.
speaking of low revs when warm......
my beat doesn't seem quite right, when its warm and i lift off the throttle the revs dip down to about 1000 and very, very slowly (over a couple of minutes...
Hi, I'm interested depending on price. I keep thinking my headlights are covered in dirt they're so dull.
i have some seat runners but unfortunately they are attached to the seats / floor of my beat.
on a more serious note i've pm'd you a lead.
ok. so I bought a pair of kumho's for the rear to see what they're like.
ever since they went on, my beat has not been right. it seems to handle fine round tight bends etc but once up to about 60+...
Here's what the DfT have to say on the matter.
"The British regulations require that the tyres must be capable of being used at the maximum speed the vehicle is permitted to travel at, ie 70mph."...
Thanks Tado,
I've already got a quote from Jesse, it's not too bad either.
With regard to 'E' marks on tyres, here's a quote from bridgestone:
"As far we’re aware the non-E marked cannot...
Cheers folks, all useful information.
Steve, if it handles well enough on a track day...
I'm no racing driver but I do drive it fairly hard from time to time. The drift is half the fun. It...
The tyre place I took it to reckon that the Bridgestones that are on it are the originals! They're K'grids all round, rotational, made in japan and they're starting to crack up.
I figured if it...
Cheers but the thing is, having tyres with the wrong speed rating can void your insurance as far as I know. Which appears to mean budget tyres only for the front.
I also got in touch with...
Hello.
I've searched the various tyre threads on here and there doesn't seem to be any 'final word' on Beat tyres for standard rims.
I'm pretty fussy and want decent/ correct tyres on my car,...
