No worries guys. I just don't use the website for anything other than making the files available. Since the pennies don't go as far as they used to it makes sense to bin the site and save a bit of...
I am binning my website so you will no longer be able to download the workshop manuals and all the other files in future. I will leave it for at least a month before it gets binned which will give...
Super, thank you very much. I live in Thorne near Doncaster (DN8) but will meet you somewhere if I'm able to. I'll pm you my mobile number.
Forgot to say pretty please.
You seemed to have missed the part where I offered to fix the car if you paid for the parts. Ordered the parts from Japan which have been in my cupboard for over a year that I've paid for. I've...
Congrats Steve and your other half. Enjoy while they're young, they soon grow up.
Anybody out there with a spare ECU that they are willing to lend me. Having some trouble with our Beat and need to eliminate or verify whether or not it's the ECU. Obviously I'll pay for postage both...
There are a few of us wanting hid kits for the Beat. See hid kit thread. Welcome aboard btw.
Not good news. The price for this kit is insane.

If I win the breaker on Ebay I will come up with a cheaper solution using its lights to see if they can...
Looks like my man in Japan may have come up with a winner. Just need to confirm that it's for the right bulb. Difficult to see in the picture but it looks the right size and has the dip and main...
This is getting rather more dificult than I expected it to be. There are many H4H kits but it would appear that these are H4 bulbs with the extra H meaning HiLo (Hi beam Lo beam) There is a company...
Nice bundle you have there. Looking forward to seeing it on the car.
Heat and an air gun are your best chance. Over doing it with a power bar may shear it off. You defo don't want to do that.
Normal thread and that sounds too tight.
I do have one that I'm in no rush to use if you get desperate.
Edit- Sorry, don't have a spare.
Thats the case for imitation xenon bulbs as they are 100w iirc. Proper HID kits are a lot cooler than standard bulbs.
Thats not the right bulb Mylee. H4 isn't the same bulb. Also it is a single filament. Not sure why that's listed as H4H. Check the bulb picture below.
Our bulbs, H4H dual filament on the left. H4...
That looks very cool.
I have looked into getting them from the US. I didn't find them readily available and what I did find were expensive. There is a supplier in China but will only ship 20 or more. Will know more in a...
They're fairly easy to fit. You replace the standard bulb with the Xenon bulb. Mount the ballast pack in a suitable position. Plug the wire that did go to the old bulb into the new wire that goes to...
I'm in the process of sourcing Bi Xenon 6000k H4H Hid kits from a guy in Hong Kong that I have used a few times before. At the moment I am just gauging interest and possible order numbers. The more...
They can be refurbished if the piston isn't too badly corroded. You should be able to get a seal kit but when I did ours I didn't bother replacing the seal or dust cover.
Have you checked back to my page where the manuals are lately? The engine manaul has been added and has all the info you require.
