    are you a member?

this was one of the first beats i ever had the privilege to sit in. it was a lady owner who was more than happy to make all my dreams come true and allow me to sit in her car! my bf took loads of pictures and i cherish them! it was at castle combs a couple of years ago. she was the only beat there, and i dragged my oh everywhere til we finally found it hidden away devaluing all the civics around it!
i just wondered if the lovely lady was a member of this forum...?
please say hello if so. until i own my own beat, i will always be in your envy!

    Tis I!

It's changed a lot since you last saw it though!

It has a 'personal' plate on it now, E8 EAT (Emily's Beat) in case that was confusing. I feel bad for modifying it now, remembering how much you liked it when it was standard.

I always wondered what happened to you, and whether you did sign up to say hello!

    It's great that you did!

I'm going to Japfest again in May, if you go again please come say hello again. I would love to hear from you again

Thought whilst I'm here feeling guilty I'd put up some progress pics, so you can see how I ruined/improved it depending on which you prefer

Remember me say I wanted some new wheels? Well I got them eventually.

    Along with a new roof.

    Then got a bodykit

Then had it painted (alsong with a few other mods like the interior)

Hey Emi, saw your heat sensitive paint job on youtube! that's cool!! when I 1st saw your photoshot photos, I thought you photoshopped the dark grey colour... until I saw the magic paint! how much did you get that done? does it mean you get a yellow beat in summer and dark beat in the winter? ^~^q .. also the boot lid would be yellow while on the run! hehe

    Hiya Mathis,

The paint does confuse a lot of people hee hee

I had it done under a sponsorship deal with a bodyshop, bodyworx in Burton www.bodyworxx.co.uk but I think it would've cost somewhere in the region of £6,000 (double what I paid for car )

If I'd had known before we started it would've cost so much I don't think I'd have had it done at all.

Yes, when you leave it in the sun it does go yellow. However when driving it the cold air flowing over the car keeps it grey.

HOWEVER (again) I haven't had chance to drive it yet in this glorious weather so I don't know if it would stay yellow with the outside temp being above 20*C

After it was running the whole boot would go yellow and the vent on the passenger side (the drivers side vent hardly changed colour at all).

Here's a pic from the Donny Show when it was left in the sunshine:
