    I should correct myself.

Item 3 on this pic is the actual electrical part of the sensor

You wouldn't believe how helpful that is, the second picture you posted is the one Honda gave me.

The sensor itself I believe is ok, the wiring to it has been crushed, so we're trying to find out how to get the wires off to change them, and how to get the sensor out if need be.

On the second picture you posted, it looks like there is a plug on top of part 3. Can you confirm it's a plug for the wires?

Also my speedo works fine, so I'm getting myself more and more confused.

Does the beat have a speed sensor on the the gearbox to adjust the throttle according to road speed? and if that fails to send/recieve would the speedo fail to work?

Item 3 has a 3 pin connector on. if the wiring is damaged I would think that that is the problem.

Im surprised your speedo work thou. as the same signal is shared between speedo and ECU.

No speed signal means the revs will be irratic as the engine does not know when the car is coming to a stop and when to change over to idle mode. Also when the ECU get a trouble code it will run in Limp mode 'emergency mode' with stttings to try and protect the engine.

I would definately look at the damaged wire first before replacing too much else.

Heres the wiring diagram for that circuit.

That was the plan of action, just to change the wiring. It's just hard to get to the wires without taking the engine out again.

I'm thinking maybe taking the fuel tank out is going to be easier?!?!?! As we can't seem to locate a plug to unplug them.

I'm not having any trouble at all with the speedo or the revs, other than when I go to pull off sometimes I have no response at all from the throttle, not even a slight rise in revs.

I've no doubt at all it's the wires that have been crushed that is causing the problem, it just seems odd to me that there are no other problems if these wires are also responsible for things like my speedo. Then again I don't always have trouble pulling off, it's just more often than not.

The colours of the wires seems to corresponde with the wiring diagram.

Thank you ever so much for your help, it's incredibly helpful.
