    Hi guys,

We have been very busy getting the site live and sorting some deals out for various Honda forums.. Now its time for the Beat club

We are offering 10% off any of the parts listed here: http://www.vtecdirect.com/online/cat...Beat--PP1.html

Contact me via email: barry@vtecdirect.com with what you are after and I will sort out a discount code within 120 minutes.

We are adding the Mugen offerings for the Beat within the next 7 days.

just a quick update to say thanks to barry for sorting out the parts for me. everything arrived safe and sound this morning and i and chuffed to bits with all the parts.
vtecdirect certainly lived up to their reputation - its been an absolute pleasure to do business with you, and i cant wait for the next big box to arrive
on a side note, if anyone is in the market for a replacement exhaust, the mugen one is really beautiful in person and a pretty decent price as well (see piccy).

    hey marcair
no probs. at some point i really need to document the whole rebuild.
the new shocks wont be going on for a while, we want to get the car running again quick as pos - within the next week or so, so the MOT is the first goal. hopefully once everything is running perfect again then we'll start tinkering with the new bits.
heres a pic of the new manifold quickly bolted on - it looks great. seems a shame its going to get covered in heatwrap today!

with regards to the ride quality, i chatted to bazza about this before deciding which to go for. originally i was very interested in the more expensive feels set, but from his own experience bazza recommended the mugens as a good compromise between comfort and performance as the roads round here are terrible. they were also half the price!
obviously i cant comment on them yet tho, so i'll compare rattles before and after once theyre on.

The pipes are sweet, clean. I recall pricing the acrylic engine cover panel listed on the Japhoo site - too much $$ for item offered. But after seeing your pipe pic together with a powder coated valve cover and,,,, may reconsider persuing a local fab. I understand the outermost panels are stressed panels but a 1 piece transparent panel could be designed to allow this load transfer and offer bolt removal for maintenance.

For what it's worth, I have several autos (UK, Ital), but I get the biggest kick from the Beat. If anyone is planning a trip to Southern Cal, call. May be able to assist with housing or .... Especially, if you assist with acquisistion of a UK or Europe classic cool car.

Hi, I have just been onto the site as I am looking for a radio for my Beat. Unfortunately my radio was stolen before I bought the car. I didn't realise when I bought it that a normal sized radio/CD player wouldn't fit. This may soundl ike a stupid question but is the center console that is advertised on the site the radio? Thanks for any help or advice you can give regarding this.

    Hi Jody,

No it's just the center console section - I can source you a new (used) stereo if you would like? I need a new one too - the buttons are knackered on mine
