Due to the impending responsibility of father hood and the need to wind in our expenses a little, I took the chance to grab a photo before both these are sold.......

And to insult to injury, people are offering silly money

I had as low as £500, with the best offer being £3300
It had lots and lots of interest on Ebay, I was getting questions constantly. Over 1300 people looked at it and it had 20 bids with over 50 watchers at one point. It didn't meet the reserve, so I didn't sell it.

£500!!!! That's outrageous. When we got our Beat in spring 2006, i figured it would always be worth around the £2900 we paid for it. I guess the current economic situation means that isn't the case. It's been in the for sale section of this forum for well over a year and i haven't had a single bite. I think the old adage "An item is only worth what a buyer is willing to pay" really applies here. Anyone else had to let their Beat go for an insult of a price lately?

    Don't do it!

    Dude -don't sell the Beat!

I've had mine since '92 and fatherhood arrived 5 years ago. Everybody said '"it'll have to go!" -but I didn't listen, and I'm SO glad.

Now I've got a champion Beat-cleaner who's always up for a boring shopping trip if it involves a ride in "Daddy's racing car".

He loves going anywhere with the top down, here's a pic I took at 70mph on a freezing A303 December last year coming back from a weekend in Cornwall.

    Keep the Beat! -Jc.
