    Radio

    Last month did a silly thing,took the radio out which was working ok to change a lamp....no problem so far stripped radio only to find lamps soldered in but then the ribbon cable came out of connector now can't get back in any idea's radio still works but no display is there a tool to push back in,if not anyone got a radio for sale.he's the morale if its working dont fiddle.

    Normally on a ribbon cable there is a locking strip, which you need to remove before reinserting the ribbon cable and then fit the locking strip.

    Hi Steve there is no clip just a flat ribbon cable there is nothing to grip to push into slot....

    There won't be anything on the cable itself. Have a careful look at the slot it fits into. There should be something which lifts up or swings sideways. The cable should require minimal force to insert. I usually grip them with a pair of plastic tweezers.
