    Torque settings?

Cant see any torque settings in the manual other than head bolts?
Anyone know what I need to torque the rocker pedestools, cam pulley and tentioner bolts to?

I fitted a new spring and tentioner, wound the motor round by hand a couple of times but still feel the cam belt is a bit to loose to tighten it up at that, any advice?

Have you checked back to my page where the manuals are lately? The engine manaul has been added and has all the info you require.

    Cam pulley = 57Nm

Camshaft cap retaining bolts = 22Nm

    Tensioner bolt = 45Nm

Cheers folks, any thoughts on the cam belt.Ive fitted a new Honda spring but the belt feels very slack with just the spring loading the belt? Ive added a bit more and it feels better. The timing marks are spot on.

As far as I understand the tension procedure.

Turn the engine to TDC number 1.

Turn the engine a further 5 teeth on the camshaft in direction of rotation.

(this will put tension onto non tensioner side)

Slacken tensioner bolt and allow the spring to take up the tension.

Rotate the engine twice and recheck.

from what I remember the belt does not actually feel that tight.

One Cambelt I fitted i applied a little bit of pressure to the tensioner to tighten belt a little more only to have a noisy belt buzz when running and warm.

I have checked a few manuals for various Hondas (not Beat). The standard method appears to be (with engine cold).
Set No 1 cyl to TDC
    Loosen tensioner bolt.
Rotate crankshaft in normal direction of rotation sufficient to turn the camshaft 3 teeth.
    Tighten tensioner adjustment bolt.

Ive often found if you slacken the tensioner bolt before you turn the crank, you can often add too much tension to the belt as the belt goes extra tight on the taught side and the tensioner takes this up as well.

Beat manual definately mentions sometime about 5 teeth.
