    bonnet measurement

    Hi im wondering if someone could measure the bonnet for me , i need to know for shipping purposes , and i have no access to my Beat at the moment .

    55 inch wide
    40 inch front to back
    7 inch high
    Bonnet measured off car. This is the bonnet which was replaced after the car was front ended but as far as I can tell it won't be much out.

    Many many thanks , im trying to see if shipping a 2nd hand one from Japan is viable .

    Damn , the Bonnet is too big for posting , as in it will be way to expensive , so i am still on the hunt for a bonnet .

    Maybe you could ask Streeter to ship it via LCL (less-than-container). Might take a while longer since it would might have to be re-shipped to Dublin but probably not very expensive. I think he's done that before.

    FYI, there are outfits nowadays that have it all computerized and make it relatively easy for private individuals to ship by LCL. I did it last summer and saved a fortune over what a commercial mover would have cost for shipping miscellaneous household goods from USA to Japan.

    No joy , mostly single items being sent by Jesse ? Lcl is only cheap when you are sharing the cost of a pallet .

    Well... maybe..., the LCL deal is that the consolidators handle the sharing process (Honda parts, soy sauce, TV sets, whatever) and everyone benefits. Maybe that isn't so well known in Japan yet.
