    dash

I am looking for an undamaged dash for my Beat. I stupidly managed to break one of the corner pieces which hold the bolt nearest the windscreen and I can't see any way to repair it due to the shape and position. It's not rattling at the moment, but I know it's broken and that bugs me.

For scenic views of a nice silver Z and the gothic church, I spent my coffee time looking on Japhoo:

Tell me about the black finish on the pepperpots.....

Thanks for the link mate. I was all set to make an offer when I noticed the holes for dash mounted speakers (bugger). The wheels were refurbed by Mylee, the previous owner. I think they look great.
That's no church, that's my country retreat

They do! Do you know what kind of finish it is? Maybe Mylee's still about.

I did notice those holes, thought maybe you had the spkrs. I keep pieces of that nubbly non-slip rubber on my dash. Oh well. you can save the search term ホンダ ビート ダッシュ版, or just ダッシュ if you're in the Honda Beat parts auction. Something'll turn up soon.

There is a Beat being broken for parts on EBay, so may be worth a enquiry about the dash. Probably want silly money for it!

I did send the bloke a question Steve, but he hasn't bothered to answer. I may try to form a sort of copy of the original bracket part, by melting and forming some plastic and bonding it underneath the dash. Or I might just leave it lol.

Part I've made and hope to bond under the dash with something like sikoflex.

That should do the trick. Never heard of Sikoflex but googling it, it sounds like Marine GOOP, which is my favorite do-everything sealant/adhesive. I always pick up a tube when I'm in the US.

So what about the refurb on the wheels Mylee? How did you do that? I've seen several similar and am considering it for my car too.

The wheels were professionally refurbed by a specialist wheel company when I imported the car. They were stripped, wet powder coated, edge machined, then wet laquered and baked. They can do virtually and colour you can think of. Results are better than new.
