Anyone actually run aftermarket headers on their beat?
If so, did it delete the cat/o2 sensor?
What brand/model are you using and how do you like it?

I got stainless steel header from yahoo, i can't recall if it came with the O2 sensor bung, but my mechanic had a new cat put in with the O2

The header was 17,500 yen, quite a good deal.
My mechanic just took a universal cat for mid-size sedan and crammed it in, along with a new bosch O2 sensor
No codes related to the cat, and my emissions testing was ridiculously low
I was going to get mine from these guys...

Along with their center mounted exhaust.
It was a generic seller, the sale expired so I can't see who the seller was
They like to refer to it as an exhaust manifold instead of a header
I got the HKS dual exhaust for the beat
The one thing I've noticed with the stainless manifold on my AZ-1 is a dramatic increase in engine bay temperature - stainless pipes just don't keep the heat in as well as the original cast iron item although the exhaust flow is better. I don't know if this would be much of a problem on the Beat but thought it worth mentioning.
It's a major issue on the AZ-1 - the air outlet pipe from the turbo runs very close to the manifold and the air inlet temp has increased dramatically. I just wish I'd had it ceramic coated before I fitted it, they dont stay shiney for long anyway.
heat-wrapped mugen header with stock cat and mugen exhaust on ours. sounds very nice, quiet up to a point and then howls nicely.
had one of these fitted too but removed it as my other half grumbled about the smells coming into the house when i was backing up onto the drive

Yah, tell me about the sound.
I get a bit of droning around 4000 rpm with my headers, it gets louder as I add more gas
Could also be the exhaust
