    New radiator

Hi just had the Beat MOTd, phew! Faulty connector on the number plate bulb was made good and got 12 mth cert. The Honda mechanic showed me underneath and the most serious concern was a suspect radiator.I have decided to replace it but Honda don't supply (though they are trying to source one) so anyone suggest a supplier? Needs some cv boots and front pads and disks but they apparently can be obtained from motor factors. These are not that urgent but the rad is. The mechanic (s) were all over it when I took it in as they hadn't seen one! Underneath he couldn't believe the fantastic condition at age 21! So good news and not so good news... Trusting someone knows a supplier here. Cheers.

Thanks Steve, looks like there are no replacements to hand so a recore job seems likely. Not sure how I could arrange that as the garage would have to remove then it needs to be recored. May be they can arrange all of it? I will find out. Cheers, john

Our Honda dealer could have removed the old rad, had it recored and refitted it but, as we had a spare one to hand, I took that to the radiator company, had it done myself then took it to the dealer to change over. I would suggest if your garage can't arrange it you look for a local specialist. These people I found on Google may be able to help but I obviously have no personal experience. http://automotivecoolingservices.co.uk/

Hi and thanks for the local info! My Honda mechanic has said they can remove it, recore and refit over about 4 days. Not sure who they use but will find out. I have located a spare so I will let the mechanic decide which is better. I have a 30day refund period. Thanks again.
