    Spare wheel and cradle removal

    What if any effect would removing these have , in particular the handling ?

    They can't weigh more than 10kg, so not a lot. Mine has been out since I owned it, would refit them but don't see the point.

    My thoughts also , but i remember someone on here saying something about adding a sand bag to the front for more traction ,
    so was thinking removing the wheel and cradle might be a step in the wrong direction .

    Yes, I agree. I have a bag of rocks (don't leak like sand!) sitting in my spare wheel and I think it's an improvement handling-wise. YMMV. 10 kgs out that far from the center can make a difference.
