    Roll cage options

Anyone know of anything off the shelf i can get, ideally in the UK?

just after a simple bolt in roll cage for now, as i'm taking it on track over the winter and don't like the idea of it landing on my face

nothing off the shelf in the UK I would personally find a place local ish to custom make you one importing anything is mega £££ due to the dimensions of the cage making delivery costs horrendous, priced up a basic 4 point cage for Mike with the white beat delivered it came to nearly 600 that was the flat packed version with the rear legs detachable

Got a friend who'd make one for £450, weld in and all MSA compliant etc. that'll do

This design makes a lot of sense.

not really, would do next to nothing in a crash, that's a style bar not a roll bar, there's no rear diagonals, you'd need a min of a 4 point cage to be remotely effective, that's a 2 point

cars booked in for november at this place incase anyone else is interested - http://www.robinson-race-cars.co.uk/

What design of a cage are you going for? And will it be weld in or bolt in design?

4 point and weld in, with harness bar. i've designed and built a few before but the beat is a tight one to package so i'll be handing it over to my friend who's a bit more capable

there will be the option to take it further, but for now i just need roll protection

That should be nice, make sure to get lots of pics..

Have you see some of the full cage designs where they bolt over onto the windscreen surround.. Could be a handy addition to the cage in future

yeah, that's essentially just a full cage.

eventually i'll go down that route but it's not essential at this stage.

this is a cage he's just completed on my other friend's 600hp golf
