    Canada beat - New member

Hello from the great white north.

Just stumbled upon your forum and it has been of great assistance to me! Been a beat owner for about 3 years. I have also owned a bunch of other kei cars as well The list includes a couple of suzuki alto works, a subaru sambar, and a mitsubishi toppo. The beat is by far the nicest, but I only put about 1000 km a year on it due to our weather.

I have a build thread kind of that can be found here...

    http://honda-tech.com/appearance-bui...3140343/page1/

I'll throw together a quick list of mods.

Recently had some problems with the ECU and a cruddy past repair. Basically owner before me tried to repair a board that had had capacitors leak. Couldnt get rid of the check engine light and so he removed the bulb. This resulted in bouncing idle, loss of throttle at times, and intermittent issues. Your forum really helped me out when it came to figuring out the problem. I just bit the bullet and ordered the p36-003 ecu and am waiting for it to arrive. In the meantime I tested out another ecu and it did not throw any check engine lights.

Just wanted to throw a thankyou out there to you guys and share a couple pics of the beat

just trying to figure out pics

Really nice beat and great build up!! Whats the Honda scene like in Calgary? A friend of mine moved out there a few months back for work and saw a proper EF8 CRX there too so seems to be some nice old school Jap Hondas around
