    Honda Beat hood

My hood is in need of replacement but I am having difficulty finding anyone who can supply and fit one. One spotty 16 year old assuring me there was no such car and could I bring in the reg document so he could look it up. 5 e-mail requests for quotation have gone unanswered. Can anyone recommend a reliable fitter?

On a different topic, my failure to diagnose the simplest of faults make me think, "when all else fails, read the .... manual" but where to I find one? trolling the archives produced some basic data but several writers referred the reader on to another site (presumably set up by a beat owner) which does not exist any more. An Australian guy selling Beat manuals also seems to have gone.

    Any ideas gratefully received.

I bought one from those guys with the glass window and it is really nice. Removed the old hood then used it as a template to punch holes in the new one. Fitting it was ok tbh.

i just bought a second hand hood off auctions.yahoo.co.jp for £150. Took a bit of a risk but it turned up today and it's in much better nick than mine. Now all i need is a guide on how to fit it to the frame.

Thanks for the advice and leads guys. Nikki has been a bit poorly so my cars get neglected. To buy a new hood is amazingly expensive. I have been quoted up tp £650. then to my surprise I have to find someone to fit it. This is getting into the area of importing a Mugen hard top from Japan. When I was younger I had several open cars and in the case of trouble there was always a hood fitter close by. Where have they all gone? All I can fine they days is pattern parts from China.
