    Sill repair question

    Hi all
I hope someone can help me with a question about how the beat was constructed. I am in the process of repairing the rust on the rear quarter panel where it meets the sill. It seems that the quarter panel needs a patch but the sill is solid. I am keen to repair it in a way that reflects the original construction but I am not certain how the quarter panel was fixed to the sill. I can see that the top and bottom of the two panels are joined by spot welds but can't see evidence of welds where they overlap between. Should there be welds there or were they bonded in some other way?
    Cheers

    Tom

It looks as if there are 3 welds on the joint at the bottom.
