Stupid plastic retainers

Hi all,

Can anyone tell me how to remove the 4 black plastic front bumper/spoiler retainers that are located under the bonnet?

I'm frightened of breaking them. Even though they go round and round.

Those retainers are 2 part. an outer part and an inner screw in part. you need to hold the outer part and stop it turning while you unscrew the inner part. well thats the theory any way.

It does not normally happen like that and you either end up trying to pull the inner part out to release it or the whole thing out.

normally damaging them in the process, so new ones are needed.
