    not starting

hoping someone can help me get my beat started.
Turn on ignition no lights on instrumrnt display - electrics work -lights,fans etc. engine won't start. This happens from cold.
same thing happened last week - called out AA - checked fuses found a small rocker switch under dash, switched that and display came on , engine started. He seem to think it had something to do alarm. Same thing tonight but it will not start.
    (Laserline immobiliser and clifford alarm)
does this sound like a problem with alarm?
any help would be much appreciated.

Sounds very much like an alarm/immobiliser prob.

so whats the switch all about then???? or was it just coincidence that flicking it last time turned ignition on.

Im not a Fan of clifford alarms, my experiance of them, nothing but probs, too complicated for their own good.

    thanks for reply
seems like it was coincidence that flicking switch enabled engine to start - have tried disconnecting battery - resetting alarm still nothing. do you know how easy it would be to competely take out the alarm or is it a job for specialist?

It really depends on how well its fitted and also how good you are at tracing wires and disconnecting/reconnecting soldered joints.

Its not rocket science, But if it fitted well the immobiliser circuits should be confusing, but i bet they just cut into the ignition switch loom.
