    Question steering wheel

    hi there every body.

i'm in the throws of doing some trim mods and just hit a bit of a
    snag.

i got me a new steering wheel (momo commando) but the supplier
and all the MOMO addresses cannot furnish me with the part
number for the fitting kit / boss.

does anybody have first hand knowledge of the part i'm in need
of? or, could someone PLEEEEEEEEEEEZE put me in touch with
someone who may be able to assist.

    thanx to all in advance

(greatest beat site i've subscribed to !!)

thanx for that, i'm gonna take a flyer and get the guys at the local
    shop to get one,
was originally wondering if it was rover 100 (metro) sized, will let you know how it goes.

if it's ok with you, when i've re-jigged the tv install, i'll send pics and some costs, someone somewhere may be interested,
hope to go the full monty and do sat nav ! ( but i never drive anywhere!!)

also, got a new hood, looks fab (in the box) weather has been a tad rubbish. any tips on fitting?

    anyhoooo

    tanx again.

Your going to need some 4mm diameter pop rivets, to replace the ones you have to drill out.

Get a wire coat hanger and make it straight with a tiny hook at one end, use this to pull the tensioning cables through the channels in the hood.

Otherwise tools needed philips screwdriver, 10mm spanner/socket.

    Think thats about it.

I expect Adrian P will have some comments about roof fitting, He watched and helped as needed, someone fit his new roof cover last year.

P.s. while you have it all apart if you look at the window edge rubber seals you will notice a hole in the back of them at each end. Thread a 10mm x 10mm x (length of seal) piece of foam pipe insulation inside them, this bulks out the seal and makes the window more water tight.

    Re: MOMO steering wheels

Send a PM to Roger, he bought a MOMO steering wheel from Demon Tweeks, along with Boss etc.

He will be able to tell you numbers of boss i should think, even thou he had had terrible problems with it keep working loose, as the MOMO boss is quite soft metal in construction and the steering column seems to dig into it, allowing the wheel to loosen.

All I can really say about this bit is... Allow longer than you think you will need... and 2 pairs of hands makes it a bit easier,

Especially when it comes to holding everything in position when puting the new rivets in place...

And the tip about the pipe insulation works wonders, I've not had a drop on the car since fitting the new roof and adding the padding.

    Hope this helps

    Hi,

Ive fitted a sparco steering wheel into my beat.. i found the OMP Steering boss off the 91- civic fit, but as it was an OMP boss and sparco steering wheel i had to drill new holes, extra work-but i didnt mind because it turned out perfect and cost less

    BOSS for the beat.

This is an old issue. But can anyone confirm 100% which/what steering wheel boss fits the beat? I have read the listing on these pages regarding the boss but no one seem to be able to confirm which one atually fits without any addition works.

    thank you.
