    Tire Size Width

I'm looking to get some tires for the front 13" stock rims, and wondering if a 175/70/13 tire would fit.
My current 175/65/14 fit, but I need a spacer.

How would the stock pepperpot rims work with the tire?

same width, higher sidewall, plenty enough room on a 13" i'd have thought ?

    175/65/14 diameter = 22.96 in 583 mm

    175/70/13 diameter = 22.65 in 575 mm

You are going to make quite a overall tyre diameter change by going 175/70-13 from the 155/65-13 original size.

You would be better off looking at 175/60-13 that will give a comparable overal diameter.

i'm not worried about the diameter.
Over here it's the smallest I can get.

I'm just concerned that the stock 13" can't handle the 175 width.

There is only a 1/2 inch differance in width of rim between front and wheel rims.

But with that height sidewall on the front on a narrower rim , I would not think the handling will be perticuliarly sharp. Way too much tyre flex.

tire selection is not that high for 13"/14" tires over here.
but my current 175/65/14 work well for the front.

and handling isn't that much of an issue as they'll just be winter tires.
