    damn cam belt

    Hi all,

After much deliberation, (thinking th cam belt had been changed in japan before we brought her over)

Well its gone (where you may ask). bugger....

Steve I will need a new one if you have any in stock... also anything else i might need. Will have to wait to see how much dameage had been done to the engine .

Also any garages in the midlands, I think there is one in shrewsbury, but any other would help.

    Cheers in advance all

    Rgds

    arrrggghh

    hi all,

after the engine being stripped down, guess what every damn valve is bent............

its going to be pricey, soo thinks to myself do any of you guys just happen to have a spare engine in your back pocket????

also Oz how much would an engine in japan cost, and what sort of timescale would we look at, much appreciated.

Well if you could get a head with all the valves that would solve the problem too. Honda Today has the same head as the Beat.

Cost wise I would think its best to just replace the valves, as Buying and Shipping an engine from Japan won't be that cheap, and you wont exactly know what your getting unless you strip it before you fit it.

Ive got a spare engine, but it does require quite a bit of work to get it up and running. Head wise it requires 2 new exhaust valves (their bent)
