I have just been dealing with a similar problem with a Subaru Vivio. In our case it was caused by a broken weld allowing the exhaust shielding to resonate at certain frequencies.
About 2 years ago I got two new ECUs for our Beats from my Honda Dealer. The part number on the invoice is 37820P36003. They were expensive at £608.72 each. In the UK you would also have to add VAT,...
I have not tried myself as I don't use a smartphone but I understand there are apps which allow you to photograph text (including japanese) and it will translate. How well it would work with a...
I'm guessing the clips on the back of the buttons are broken. If so a small dab of a flexible adhesive will glue the buttons in fine. If the bar the button clips to has broken a sliver of plastic...
If the bar the switch pivots on is broken glue something across where it was. From memory (this was a long time ago) I used a bit of an ice lolly stick. Missing prongs can be improvised and glued in...
I'm a little concerned about "added the R134 fitting and filled the A/C system with new "freon"" . Did you use R134 or R12. Online info appears rather variable but I understand that the original...
Mine is under the dash immediately to the left of the steering column.
Wife and I 3 Beats between us both 62.
I would be interested in the gearbox, thanks.
Thanks Aaron
I assume he's broken the casting, if so try the following may be of interest. http://www.u-ukhbc.co.uk/vbb/search.php?searchid=16730 or search "How to repair door mirrors". The mirror in question is...
Hi there, I'd be interested in the gearbox.
Thanks,
Lawrence
I would suggest capacitors may be on the way out but not yet leaking. About 18 months ago fed up with trying to replace faulty caps I inquired as to the cost of a new ECU at my Honda dealer. I...
Thanks for the offer but I had a spare in stock which has now been fitted. Looking to the future I'm trying to find a way of making the joint replaceable.
I have just been informed that the n/s lower front suspension ball joint on my wife's Beat needs replacing. I understand this requires a whole new wishbone which is no longer available. I am able to...
Change the cambelt if it's not been done recently.
Try this carefully will it go beyond 7k in neutral?
Back in the 70s I had a car with a 583cc aircooled twin engine. The fuel consumption on my regular trip to and from work could be anything from below 30 to over 50 mpg depending on driving style.
How bad is it, one of ours uses a fair bit, but doesn't leave a smokescreen. Still it has done around 190,000km.
This may sound a silly question but is the button missing altogether or have the pivot clips on the back broken? If the latter it can be repaired with a SMALL dab of silicone or other flexible glue.
In our experience the problem is not water getting in between the seal and the glass but between the seal and the frame and I cannot figure out how.
Usual problem with ECU is duff capacitors, which an electronics repair shop ought to be able to deal with.
Does the autochanger still play normal cds?
There is a blue Beat in Guernsey. It was for sale in the local paper a few weeks ago but as we already have 3 and no spare space I didn't look any further.
